Students to share musical message on ecology

The student Chorus and Dance Troupe of Walnut Canyon Elementary School will present a musical, "Update Earth," at several elementary schools in Moorpark on Mon., May 15.

The rock musical brings the message about bettering the world's environment in a fun, upbeat manner. The music includes the hip-hop song, "Funkify, Don't Junkify," the hula song, "Let the Rain Come Down," and a rap song, "Solar Energy Shout!"

The performers are costumed in the colors of the rainbow and perform with such props as top hats, handmade rain sticks and "earth" beach balls.

The performances will be at 9 a.m. at Campus Canyon, 10:15 a.m. at Peach Hill, 12:30 p.m. at Flory and 1:30 pm. at Walnut Canyon schools.
