The Home Independent Study Program of the Moorpark Unified School District invites kindergarten to eighth grade students and their parents to an open house and orientation at 7 p.m. Wed., April 26 in the Home Independent Study Classroom, room 22 at Mountain Meadows Elementary School, 4200 Mountain Meadow Drive in Moorpark.

Families will have an opportunity to learn about the program, meet teachers, see the classroom, review materials, ask questions, and talk with other parents.

The program assists parents who choose to homeschool their children and is designed to meet the unique personal and educational needs of each participating family.

Instructional materials and ongoing support are offered in a positive, family-centered environment.
