Treat children to a 'stuff-n-fluff' party

Barbara Sieger offers Noah's Ark Animal Workshop, a traveling "Stuff-N-Fluff" animal workshop where children and parents come together to experience the fun of creating their very own stuffed animal from start to finish.

Sieger takes her workshops to at-home birthday parties, play-groups, preschool and day care centers, Scouting troops, summer camps, children's hospitals and boys and girls clubs.

She said the workshops foster creativity, confidence and affection in children of all ages, as they choose an "unstuffed" cuddly friend, hand stuff it, insert a rainbow wish star, name it, create a customized birth certificate and then personalize their new friend by dressing it in an adorable outfit.

Children can choose from an assortment of about 25 different animals. Most of the animals are 15to 18-inches tall and cost about $15.

Birthday party packages include free invitations and thank you cards.

"The animals are really adorable and the children love them . . .as well as adults," Sieger said, adding "the parties are a boatload of fun and are always filled with magical memories."

"I have no minimum number. I can conduct a party for groups of any size," she added.

While most of her requests are for home birthday parties for children ages 3 to 13 and for both boys and girls, Sieger said she can do workshops for many different or

ganizations. She conducts workshops in Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Moorpark and Westlake Village.

The animal-making workshop began in 2003 when founder Dina Kriescher recognized the need for quality, fun and affordable home parties. She began hosting workshops in the suburbs of Chicago and the business expanded into one of the fastest-growing party plan companies in the nation.

Sieger requests at least a 10day advance notice for a party, "but I keep a large enough inventory on hand to handle most quick requests."
