No on North Park group provides info
Now that a special election date has been set for Moorpark voters to decide the fate of the troubled North Park project, residents can expect to be bombarded with the best advertising campaign money can buy. North Park will be spending a lot of money to smooth over all the major negative problems that have been with this huge development from the beginning, and they will continue trying to convince the people who live and commute from here that adding 1,700 houses to the northeast end of Moorpark is going to benefit them. The impact of the immense size of the project will continue to be downplayed and the scare tactic of something terrible happening to the area if the development isn’t approved will be included.
In response to Christopher Tucker’s Oct. 21 letter, there is a No on North Park organization made up of residents who agree with him and feel the development will not be beneficial to our town. There are two sides to this battle, but with North Park’s money, the voters will only hear one side. Visit www.nonorthpark.org or e-mail info@nonorthpark.org to get more information on the development that you won’t hear from the North Park advertising campaign. The site is there to try and add some balance to this one-sided campaign that Mr. Tucker has so correctly identified. Kerry Wilson Moorpark
