Law firm offers sexual harassment training for all employers

Employers can protect themselves from sexual harassment claims through a sexual harassment training seminar to be held from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Wed., Oct. 26 in the sixth-floor boardroom of Nordman Cormany Hair and Compton, 1000 Town Center Drive, Oxnard.

The seminar will be led by Jonathan Fraser Light, senior partner in Ventura County’s largest law firm. Light has more than 23 years of experience in the field of employment law.

The seminar meets the new California legal requirement that requires companies with 50 or more employees to send supervisors and owners to two hours of sex harassment training every two years. Attendees can sign a sex harassment training acknowledgment form for their personnel file. The information is pertinent for smaller companies, although not required.

The cost for the seminar is $50, which includes a continental breakfast. Reservations are required. For more information or reservations, please call Wendy Zimmerman at (805) 988-8341 or e-mail wzimmerman@nchc.com.

The firm will also conduct onsite sex harassment seminars. For more information and pricing, call Light at (805) 988-8305.
