On Sat., Aug. 13, our neighborhood hosted its annual block party, “neighborhood night out.” This event was a positive event where neighbors got to know one another, which makes for a better, safer neighborhood.

I would like to thank the following people and retailers, all from Moorpark, for their generous contributions in making our evening a great success: Do-It Center, Sunset Terrace, Papa John’s, It’s a Grind, Mavericks Gym, Mavericks Movie Theatre, Mike Marsh from Goldcoast Management, Ralphs, Vons, Panda Fresh, Subway, Julie Lapp with Cookie Lee Jewelry, Fit 2B Thai, Moorpark Bike Shop and Sweet Retreat.
