This Fri., Sat. and Sun., July 2, 3 and 4 there will be a family carnival in the east parking lot of The Oaks shopping center each day from 1 to 11:30 p.m. Tickets will be $1 each, $16 for 20 or $22 for 32. Rides range from one to five tickets apiece.

There are rides for the entire family, along with classic, old-fashioned carnival games and plenty of corn dogs and cotton candy.

On July 4 from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. there is a "mini" street fair, featuring the Campus Five, offering big band entertainment and dancing before and after the fireworks. The fireworks show starts promptly at 9 p.m. and is a clear sight from The Oaks.

Family RVs are welcome to pull in and to stay in designated locations—east lots, between the garden center and Robinsons-May Men’s Store—at The Oaks from Saturday afternoon and will be allowed to remain until Monday morning.
