CLU loses in mens’ soccer

Clinton scored a goal and had an assist as Moorpark tied Cuesta, 2-2, scoring the tying goal in the 76th minute when Kristen Soppe scored and Clinton assisted on the goal. Linday Sehnem also had an assist for Moorpark which is now 9-1-2 on the season and 3-1-1 in the Western State Conference. Cuesta is 2-1-2 in conference play.
The Cal Lutheran men’s soccer team suffered a 1-0 SCIAC loss against Pomona-Pitzer Wednesday at North Field. CLU fell to 4-8-1 overall and 4-4 in league, while the Sagehens improved to 11-2 and 6-2. Sam Farina-Henry scored the game’s lone goal in the 57th minute. Scott Coleman centered the ball from the right and Farina-Henry buried it in the Kingsmen net. Goalkeeper Jamie Lavelle made seven saves for CLU, while Dan Bendett made three for Pomona-Pitzer. CLU plays at Redlands October 18 at 11 a.m.
