Parents who would like to see Mass celebrated so their children can understand what’s going on are invited to the 9:00 a.m. Mass next Sunday, Oct. 19.

The children will participate in the following ways: • The Children’s Choir will sing. • The readings will be from the Children’s Lectionary. • Each child is invited to bring a can of food for Catholic Charities which they can bring to the altar at the preparation of the gifts. • The front pews on both sides of the Church will be reserved so that the children can see what is happening at the altar. • The priest will speak to the children at his homily. • The priest will also give a blessing to the children. • A commentator will explain the actions and rites of the Mass and lead everyone in making the the responses at the right times.
