Moorpark Library holds Country Days book sale, plus

Moorpark Friends of the Library operates a store inside the Moorpark Library that features used books for sale and is open during normal library hours. The library is at 699 Moorpark Ave. Books may be paid for at the circulation counter.

The Friends will have a booth at the Country Days event this Sat., Sept. 27, and will offer "scarce old" children’s books and better current children’s books, mostly in the $1-$2 price range.

In addition, the Friends will present an outdoor sale from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sat., Oct. 11 in the library’s front parking lot where they will be offering mainly better nonfiction in many subject fields plus: science fiction, "scarce old" fiction and children’s books. According to the Friends, these books are "huge bargains," priced generally at one-third of the minimum price "at which they may be found available via the Internet."

Proceeds from the book sales support the Children’s Summer Reading Program and the library’s subscriptions to Value Line and Morningstar. For more information, please call (805) 529-0440.
