May 20. At 6 p.m., a Moorpark man was arrested at Bard and First Street. He was booked into the East County Jail on charges of driving under the influence. Bail was set at $5,000.

May 20. At 4:15 a.m., an Oxnard man was arrested at Tapo and Hwy. 118 in Simi Valley. He was booked into the Ventura County Jail on charges of driving under the influence. Bail was set at $5,000.

May 16. At 5:45 p.m., a Moorpark man was arrested in the 300 block of Moorpark Avenue. Martin Vargas Gonzalez, 26, was booked into the East County Jail on charges of attempted murder, possession of cocaine base for sale, possession of a controlled substance while armed and modification of a rifle. Bail was set at $500,000. The suspect later was transported to the Ventura jail.

May 11. Between 5 and 5:30 p.m., four Moorpark men, ages 18 to 21, were cited for vehicular trespassing at a construction site in the College Heights neighborhood.

More recent reports were unavailable. Earlier this week, the Moorpark Police records clerk was assigned to duty in support of memorial events for former President Ronald Reagan at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley.
