Wescom Credit Union opens Moorpark branch

Wescom Credit Union recently opened its 32nd branch inside the Albertsons grocery store at Mission Bell Plaza, 475 W. Los Angeles Ave., Moorpark. This is their fourth location in Ventura County. Other branches are in Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley and Oxnard.

Sal Sandoval, an 18-year resident of Moorpark, has been selected by Wescom to manage the new branch. He serves on the board of directors for Moorpark Boys & Girls Club. He is married with two children.

The 390 square-foot branch features a Wescom ATM machine, three teller stations and a self-help station for members. It will employ six.

With assets totaling more than $2.6 billion, Wescom is described as one of the largest credit unions in the country and the third largest in Southern California. It is a not-for-profit, financial services cooperative serving more than 227,000 members at 31 branches. Wescom was established in 1934 as a credit union for telecommunications employees.
